Last week, I took my boys to Little Tokyo (or J-Town, short for Japan Town as we used to call it as kids) in Downtown L.A. to meet my Mom for lunch. I thought it would be fun for the boys to see new sights and enjoy a little culture. The boys had a blast eating noodles with chopsticks and seemed to enjoy people watching as much as I do. It was fun to give the boys a little taste of Japan.... although they were slightly disappointed that they heard English being spoken by everyone and not Japanese. This outing has certainly whetted the boys' appetite for a trip to Japan.... the real Japan. Where they can hear Japanese being spoken and take a ride on the bullet train.
